There is an urgent need for a wide range of research on treatment, epidemic control, drug discovery, analysis and prediction of the spread to fight against COVID-19. ABCI and other domestic supercomputers are expected to take advantage of their ultra-fast computing and large-scale data processing capabilities. As a member of the HPCI (Innovative High-Performance Computing Infrastructure) constituent organizations, AIST has started to provide ABCI free of charge through the "HPCI Urgent Call for Fighting against COVID-19".
