The department of Information Technology and Human Factors of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) has started the ABCI 2.0 operation and services. AI Bridging Cloud Infrastructure (ABCI) has been upgraded to ABCI 2.0 with the enhanced computing server equipped with the latest 960 GPUs, storage system, and lower power consumption. ABCI 2.0 services has increased the computing performance at the peak to 1.5 up to 3 times more and increased the stroage capacity to about 1.5 time more than the previous ABCI.
The peak performance would be double precision 56.6 petaflops, single precision 226.0 petaflops, and half precision 851.5 petaflops.
The previous ABCI services have been incoperated into ABCI 2.0 and will accelerate the use of ABCI by advanced AI R & D, application developments, and big data analysis in Japan's industry.
