RIKEN AIP and the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) have conducted a joint research project to utilize AI technology for meteorological observation and forecasting.
We have achieved successful research results in improving the accuracy of precipitation forecasts using AI technology and developing technology for estimating actual temperatures across the country.
The JMA will continue to develop technologies based on the results of this joint research project with the aim of putting these technologies to practical use.
